FM Synergy is working hard to enter TradeSchool into a Beta Testing period. 6 IBEW electrical JATC's have been selected as beta testers for this product. FM Synergy will work with these JATC's during migration to the new software. When development has reached a specific point of stability TradeSchool will enter into a short phase of shipment preparation.

TradeSchool is on schedule to ship by the summer of 2010.

The time given to engineering a solid software product of this nature is monumental. During the process we consider a valid list of features, their ease of use, practicality of deployment, and of course the look and feel of the end result. The effort taken upfront pays off for you, the customer, when we complete the goal of making an outstanding business application.

Per seat license means per "user accessing the software". For example, if your office has 3 computers but only 2 computers will be connecting to TradeSchool at a given time, then you only need 2 seats of TradeSchool. With a 2 seat purchase, any two computers can connect to TradeSchool at the same time, but not 3. FileMaker Inc. sells FileMaker Pro on a per computer license which is different. With FileMaker you need one license of FileMaker Pro per computer that needs to open a shared database.

FileMaker Server provides a dedicated database server for your TradeSchool software. Though not necessary in some situations, it is highly recommended if you want the most in backup security, stability, performance and to extend your data system to the web. FM Synergy bundles FileMaker Server in special 5 Seat TradeSchool package. See below for details.

Why should I purchase a Maintenance Program?

FileMaker Inc. releases new versions of their flagship product regularly. To keep from having to pay full price for every version of FileMaker released, you can purchase an annual maintenance agreement at a fraction of the cost. With the maintenance program you will receive all FileMaker Pro updates when they are released.

Along with FileMaker Pro upgrades, FM Synergy also provides unlimited email and phone support for customers who purchase the annual maintenance program. Without the maintenance program we would not be able to service our customers with dedicated support and online help.

To meet the needs and expectations of our customers, FM Synergy charges for an annual maintenance contract per seat of TradeSchool sold. See below for more details.

Subsequent versions of TradeSchool will be sold at an upgrade price per seat. Prices for upgrades are determined at the time of the version release.
